Paddles and Shoulder Injuries

Shoulder injuries
From my own experience I think the injuries occur mostly when I try to overuse the main muscles even when they’re exhausted. Must be that I tend to compensate by using other smaller muscles and by doing other unnecessary movements and I start to feel some pain in the my arm.

So my guess is as long as you keep a good paddling technique, no injuries will occur.

What Dr Disco Said
The only thing I can add is that if you brace or roll, keep your elbows in fairly close to your body. You’re at much more risk reaching out.

I am 6’2"
and I used a 205 Cypress… it was short for me, not terribly short, but doable. How long are your arms?
