Paddling during hunting season

I can say where you have not lived…
just from your post.

I know of responsible hunters. It is the other ones that are a problem. In a suburb in New Jersey I was not far missed by a bullet in deer season, my brother turned once when he had his bike by the side of the road to see a gun pointed at him from the brush, I have had friends further north in New York who have had to replace kitchen windows for the bullets that came into the house from woods across a cleared and cultivated field (happily they were not doing dishes at the time) and more if I bothered to remember it all.

You must live somewhere far away from other people where stray bullets can’t hit anything but trees. They aren’t so well behaved anywhere I have lived. And kayakers and canoers can rarely kill someone from a far distance by ramming them with their boats, especially on land.

If you want to talk with motor boaters, you should probably go to a site labeled something other than paddling.net.
