Fortunately, in this case it seems that the would-be “selectee” now understands the error of her thinking and the wisdom of wearing a PFD. Kudos to her and those who contributed to her education!
dog PFDs
I’ve never met a dog that can’t handle a brief swim without much trouble, but I do have experience with how hard it can be to get a dog back in a boat from the water. Without the handle that’s on the back of a doggie PFD it can be nearly impossible. The best reason for a dog to wear a PFD, IMO, is to get that handy handle for plucking them out of the water in case they decide to jump ship.
