I know this is a strange thank you but, thanks! Despite all the hoopla and varied opinions on the subject this was very helpful. I am planning a 4 day 3 night kayak trip on a Wild and Scenic river, which means--no trace camping. I was struggling with how to meet the requirement for carrying out human waste. (I just could not stomache the thought of busted zip lock bags in the bottom on my boat.) After following some of the links provided by contributors and finding the instructions on building a torpedo I headed out to a local RV shop where for $20.OO and 5 minutes of time I had everything I needed. Even if I am only packing out the paper, I will have the required equipment to get my back country permit. Thanks for the information and for the laughs!
