In the very-early-to-mid spring…manufacturers and shops usually will schedule a weekend as ~“Paddle Day[s]”…for would-be buyers to bring their pfd and paddle and paddle whatever boats they have/are carrying for the new season…for a good portion of the day, or days…fwiw.

I have a hobie Quest 13 good quality. You might be better with the 13’. They are nothing like a sea kayak but fun.
