Prospector canoes

Test paddle a lot
In fact, you can probably test the Wenonah and Novavcraft prospectors at Rutabaga; then drive across town to Carl & John’s and try the Bluewater Prospector. While you’re at Carl’s, you owe it to yourself to try the Bluewater Freedom Tripper and the Bell Canadienne ( I think you’ll probably like both better than the prospector-I used to have a Langford Prospector)

PS See you at class tonight

You’re right, for the most part you’ll see Bill in his 16’ Pleasure canoe, which was either a Pal or Deer model depending on the year it was built as Chestnut did the name game with their narrow ribbed version for many years.

You can tell the difference by looking at the seats in whatever canoe Bill was paddling at that particular time, the Pleasure had caned & the Prospector slat seats.
