I built a Pygmy Osprey 13 as my second s&g kayak and a Coho as my sixth.
shop prep: get a couple boxes of latex gloves and USE THEM. 2’x16’ table on saw horses is a good idea.
dificulty: in warm 80 degree temps the regular cure Systems three epoxy can be a bit too fast for a learning experience.
as above folks mentioned do laminating with glass on steady or falling temps. Anything more than a few degrees is not steady.
work table?
did you find it neccessary to plane the 2x’s to ensure a plunb and flat work surface, or was close to good enough?
