Race Ready

I struggle with gloves and have yet to find a pair that has the right tactile grip and doesn’t cause blisters eventually. Even in the dead of winter I use open palm gloves. The best I’ve found are very thin(and expensive) batting gloves.

How about Golf Gloves?

@PaddleLite Copper is perhaps one of the best thermal conductors.

413 (W/m K) - hence why it feels like it’s cooling. it wicks away heat until it reaches it’s thermal density.

But I digress, the primary goal is anti-microbial.

but secondary especially when wet is cooling.

Well, we got some coming…

@Craig_S , just got them, they are slick and way comfortable. Do they hold up?

@darkstar, you have to try these, these are second skin comfortable and give good compression, which has to help. Don’t know how they hold up, but they feel good.

I can’t say how they hold up my pair has been in use since 2019 and is still in good condition. for me they seem to last.

I get out at least once a week if not more once the air temp gets above 70. and do a minimum of 10 miles per solo outing. (just to give you an idea of the use regimen.)

You have had them since 2019 and with the way you paddle you can’t say if they hold up or not? I would say that is holding up pretty well. Man, you have to tell people about these, these might just be what they have ben looking for. They also come up over the wrists and might help with wrist problems like arthritis or sprains.

@Craig_S might have flunked every DEI and Sensitivity Training Course under the Sun, but he knows his stuff.

I looked at them at Wally World and left them on the shelf because the fabric was so thin. They claim easy to remove, but I think you have to pull them off to end up inside out and then take 5 minutes turning right side out. Keep your receipt on these.

What are you talking about, @Craig_S just said he had his pair since 2019, do you know how much @Craig_S paddles? If they hold up like that AND are super thin giving you great feel, that is a plus. I just put them on and took them off, no inside-outies.

Follow-up with direct response to this original post in the first couple minutes. This thread was on my mind that day:

You tawkin’ to me? ~De Niro

You talkin to me?

Well to be fair and accurate…

I went out after I posted this and hauled my boat down from the rafters in the back garage and inspected my gloves,

They are starting to fray at some of the stitching, and on the wrist velcro. So I don;t know how much life they have left probably another year or two.

but for now they are still serviceable, just starting to look ratty.
(but then again so do I, so it accents the look.)

@Craig_S , you said you have been paddling with them since 2019, everyone knows how much you paddle, after receiving my pair and looking at them I never would have believed they hold up that well, that is why I asked. I would be happy with 1/2 of that durability.

I still say you should tell people about these.
