I’ve never had a problem with it pushing out of place–3" minicell is pretty thick and rigid, and I cut it to shape with a template, so it fits in very tightly. Reentry and rolls, and balance braces, are both a lot easier with the wide platform, and I’m sure I’m sometimes pushing well off where the footpegs are. So far, after 3 seasons, it’s been great.

I’m using two 4" minicel-layers.

Tried it, Works Great
I took a 3" foam out of another boat and placed it against my footpegs. Although it was cut for a smaller boat it was fine. I paddle with bare feet half the time and I need the space in front of the pegs when camping. A quick and easy solution… I’ll order another piece just for this boat.
