Try this…
Cut some plywood into squares w/ 18" long sides. Drill a hole in the center just big enough to slide your tent lines through. Cut 1/2" dia. PVC pipe into 6" long pieces (have one cut for each piece of plywood). When you set up your tent dig a hole no more than 12" deep. Push you anchor line through the plywood and tie the line around the pipe. Place the plywood not flat but slightly perpendicular to the the line from the tent and in the bottom of the hole. Cover the plywood with the sand and finish filling in the hole. This method kept my tent from being blown away on New Turkey Key down in the Western Everglades during an all-day 35+ knot storm and never did any of my ‘stakes’ pull loose.
