I’d rather avoid opinion topics, but I detest narrow-minded stupidity. I’ll defer providing examples for fear that someone might view my negative example as jolly good logic.
Actually, burning another person’s property is a very bad thing. Anyone who feels it’s justified is an arsonist. I guess maybe there are good arsonists and bad arsonist, that is where opinions may vary.
When a controversial topic gets ditch dropped, it’s easy to tell when the originator is trolling. That is when the offender resorts to labeling any disagreement as ignorance. The original topic is just the bait. Any reasonable person should avoid it and not touch it with a ten foot pole.
Did you ever get into a discussion with a person who tells you that you always have to get in the last word. Then you say, “that’s probably true.” Then they say, “See!” To which you say, “You’re right.” Then they say, “You did it again!” After a momemt of silence, the person says, “Don’t you have some smart thing to say?” More silence . . . as the other person barks out that you always think you’re right.
Yeah, the Left is so tolerant and understanding. Elon Musk is uncovering over a TRILLION DOLLARS a year in waste, fraud and corruption so we can better take care of the underprivileged, finally address our infrastructure and do some maintenance on our National Debt, a TRILLION DOLLARS and what does the Left do, Firebomb Tesla Dealerships, Shoot Bullets into Tesla Dealerships, Set Tesla vehicles on fire, Key Tesla Vehicles, Harass and Intimidate Tesla Drivers on the road, cause Tesla Stock to drop 50%…What a bunch of Phony Clowns. Come and try and burn my property and see what happens to you.Y Chromosome that.
The problem with people is that both sides feel like they’re the injured party. It’s always about gaining absolute power, not about fixing anything.
I can’t blame anyone for disagreeing with the methods, but it defies logic to ignore the extentsive fraud and the level of resistance to eliminate it. The primary rule of ethics in government is “no impropriety or appearance of inpropriety.” Anyone can dislike how the evidence was uncovered, but its criminal to allow it to continue. The only acceptable option is agreement to investigate by offering solutions on how to better find the corruption. The combined set of our elected officials are too ill equipped to lead.
The solution is either compromise, or put all the power in a monarch and let the line of succession go through the family and hope for benevolence.
That’s what bosses are paid to do, yell at people. If you ask why he gets to yell at you and you can’t - the answer is that he’s the boss and you’re not.
It shouldn’t be. Without judging the merits of either side or offering solutions (we pay them to do that), isn’t it logical to expect your representatives to eliminate waste. As I mentioned, the solution would clearly raise disagreement and debate. We can’t even reach that. One side exposes fraud and the other side doesn’t even ask for evidence or proof. The topic goes to name calling. There is no curiosity, just denunciation. So what is the compromise? You say you found fraud, so produce the evidence. Regardless of who you side with, the current members are not capable of solving any problem, even one as simple and clear cut as that.
It doesn’t matter to me, because I don’t depend on social security, so it isn’t relevant to me. This isn’t the place for a debate, but it illustrates the problem, but I knw ho the next election will be decided, unless the people with standing in this matter (regardless of political leaning) has the desire to find out whether their retirement system is being drained. That’s all. Just look at the root of a problem and ask for clarification.
So much depends on the type of kayak and where you will use it. River running in Class IV conditions is a special use and takes special knowledge. I first went out with a “leader” who insisted we all wear helmets and one of the people in our group spun out and hit his head with great force on a rock. But for the helmet he would have needed a rescue and medical care.
Having used kayaks out in the ocean and bays for decades I took a class for sit in kayaks on surf entries. I practiced all day with waves of 2-4 feet in height and it was well worth the cost and my time.
I belonged to a local kayak fishing club but the members were far right in their politics and so I stopped joining their events. Not a big deal in the overall scheme of things.
