Seat vs. Kneeling thwart vs. saddle?

I think the Mohawk strap must cross my
legs higher up than it does on yours. I can slip in and out of it if I leave it rather loose, but if it is tight enough to mean anything, I have to use a bit of force to back out of it. I’m sure the first owner and installer was shorter than I am.

Toe blocks
"I think Phreon needs to try his eventual setup with and without toe blocks/pegs to see which he prefers."

I carry a good portion of my weight and height in my legs (age and beer might me changing that a little). I’m 5’11", 165 lbs with a 33" inseam. I’m “svelt”, to put it politely.

I’ve tried toe pegs briefly (Yee setup) in another boat and couldn’t stand them. I usually paddle with the top of my foot flat on the hull. If anything, I think I’d velcro in and experiment with a pair of moderate ankle blocks. I think a kneeling thwart will probably offer a little more horizontal security than a saddle with no toe blocks would.
