shifting grip

Frequently
Both changing width of grip and minor amounts of shifting to the side.

Cus I get bored doing the same thing all the time.

AT
Hi Carl,

I gave my AT bent shaft away, friend needed a decent paddle and I never used it anyway. Still most problems people have with paddles comes from holding on too tight. I’ve got carpal tunnel in both wrists, I understand joint pain. Actually using the wing for a couple hours a week helps alot and with more than the wrists.

easier with straight shaft
Even easier with a GP, I do it all the time, it’s a very simple way to adjust to a quartering wind and doesn’t slow the boat as much as dropping the skeg.

High angle vs low angle
My hands shift farther apart on high angle strokes and closer together for a more leisurly low angle stroke. I use a wing paddle.
