old ww solos
My interpretation of what would work is that you don’t want a dedictaed ww boat like a hard-chined Ocoee or even a Nitro or Outrage. And that you don’t want to paddle a a great big Freedom, Appalachain or even a Synergy/Caption.
So, I’d recommend looking for “old school” solo boats like the Dagger Genesis or OT H2Pro. No problem in real whitewater, and will track OK for trips. Also good might be Mohawk XL or Probe 14, or Esquif Blast, basically the longer (13-14’), wider solo ww boats without too much rocker or edge.
There is a Genesis on eBay right now! I also know of an H2Pro and a Genesis if you’re in Vancouver, Canada.
Does anyone know about the
Mohawk XL15? It sounds like a good choice since it can be setup for both tandem and solo.
