SmartTrack foot braces
I found that my feet would get numb when using the SmarTrack foot braces. So I contact cemented 5/8" EVA foam onto them and then covered that with inner tube rubber (so they did not squeak). Solved the numbness problem.
Overall I have been happy with the system, though a C bracket that raises the rudder housing out of the water would be good. Have also noticed that in waves with the rudder up the housing can still steer the QCC700. Though on flat water it is out of the water. Thinking of getting a local shop to make a modified C bracket to solve the problem.
But on second thought
The rudder housing is always going to catch waves, unless it is mounted higher than the deck!
