Southern NH Lake Access / Opinions on "Private Lakes"

I read the article quick (have to have dinner)… They reference four lakes at the start.

What is the “horseshoe” in Wilton? Does that refer to Sand Hill Reservoir? If so, there is a launch there. I was there last weekend.

There is access to Contoocook Lake in Jaffrey, but it’s from the river just north of the lake and big powerboats clog the tiny channel.

Been to Dublin several times this year. It’s my wife’s favorite. Access is easy and they allow swimming in the lake.

Silver Lake in Harrisville has an established launch, and it’s on my list for lakes I want to hit up next.

Btw I have two unknowns in that area. Chesham Pond and Woodward Pond if you have information. Woodward doesn’t even have a map with Fish and Game.

Is this Johnson’s Pond? You can still get in there from the south on Rt 3.

Its a bit of a haul to get to the north but IMHO the prettiest part is the Southern part anyhow and Big River though its only good in Spring and late fall when the underwater vegetation dies down otherwise its almost impossible to navigate.
