Hmmmmm. Wish I could catch it like that LOL. Whenever we go it’s packed! Sure wish I could make the rendezvous. It always coincides with my paddling club’s ww paddling school and the driving and logistics burden is just a bit much to do both. Some day I’ll work it out.

from it’s winter snow cover. I’ll be looking forward to the Ozarks. Still lots of snow here. No open water on lake or stream.

Rendezvous: A good idea
It seems there has been an abundance…
of trips and slips this winter. Frost heave and the two-inch toe catcher it created on a normally smooth sidewalk caused mine. No broken bones but the kneecap is still tender. Sorry to hear of your misfortune, hope you’re paddling soon.

I plan on arriving some time on Tuesday to set up camp. Will be ready to paddle on Wednesday

First I Will Miss Since the Beginning
Been battling a drug-resistant pneumonia and Dr. said “No” to camping and being on the water. Will have to look toward the Fall Rendezvous.

and was really looking forward to some time on the Current with you afterwords. The Fall 'Vous is not doable (as a second trip) from Alaska, so we’ll just hope for better tidings for next Spring. Meanwhile, do as the Dr suggests but find a canoe to sit in while doing it (living room, garage, shop, whatever works).

I mean, BRAD, geesh (LOL)! I have a Dr's appointment/lab work scheduled the Monday after the Rendezvous, May 4th. It is possible I could do a few day trips on the milder-mannered Current River that week? If you are hanging around the area, I'm going to do my best to get back on the river by that Tuesday?

We’ll see what comes up at he High Tea campfires during the week - my only “deadlines” this trip were to get the Sandpiper picked up and still arrive here before the 'Vous, and I made them both. I’ll bet a day trip on the Current would do wonders for your state of mind, regardless of what the Dr has to say! We’ll connect…
