Useful indeed
I’ve used them to do cleaning (awesome), outfitting, repair, temporary storage, hull refinishing, and even skinned and finished my SOF on them.
All that and you can slip them in your hatches and they take up almost no space should you want to do any of the above on a trip.
80"
I went out as far as 80" with the same results. Any further out you might as well hang them from the grab loops. I would have used a different system but I was assured by Talic that the tandems would “fit with no problem.” I still feel the Condo is a nice product but I think their ads are misleading.
hey fatbelly
let me know if you want to get rid of them…
Paul
Thx
Thanks!
…
No contact was made to Talic. That wouldn’t solve my issues. It’s not like I’m missing a screw or something. I genuinely didn’t see the quality fit for the price tage on the kayak rack I purchased from them. Just wanted to make people aware.
Sure!
I’m also this good at praise when I like something so feel free…
Have a good trip?
Enjoy the river this weekend? Glad to see you get out on the big NY river. It’s a great place to explore.

Is this your normal mode of operation when you are dissatisfied with a product? You didn’t even bother to call them and ask if you could return it? Instead you post an online tantrum?
Seahorses
The Sea horses are good. I was speaking specifically about the wooden kayak double bunk since that what I use, but they all seem to employ the same wooden peg construction. The wall mounts are probably more sturdy than the free standing double bunk.
whatever dude
Not a Troll, man. Just venting on what I feel as poor quality for the kayak community. You’re way off on knowing about the rack construction so you can keep a comment off of that and I did post a nice word about the sea horses above. “Bogus claims” I think not.
…
You can’t return a product you’ve been using for years. It’s hard to tell what experience you’ll have with one until you use it for some time.
BTW, I have been contacted by someone at Talic and will post a good word for their customer service in a bit as an edit to my first post.
I’m not about to get into how I deal with companies with you on some low traffic paddling forum. When it counts I’m in it for real, but on this I’m out…
You sound “real” all right
the question is, a real what?
I’m
done with you dude. read my edits…
"been using for years"
Yeah, must really suck then, huh? Great service you’re providing to the paddling community with this alert thread about an issue no one else seems to have. If you’re really so concerned, where where you’re comments “years” ago when you first bought it? Why the thread now? Don’t answer - I don’t care. The value of your input and opinions is already clear enough. Thanks.
a nice word
Above you said you were “also this good at praise when I like something”. How 'bout some more enthusiasm for those sea horses?

Tell us what you really think.
• “some low traffic paddling forum”
I’m not getting my fix. Point me to the high traffic ones.
OUCH!..
The truth belies my login name, I’m a benign Troll…and at this point very glad of it; you folks can be downright ugly (not that that’s bad or ever undeserved in this case!)…
Hudson, there are ways to express your displeasure that don’t require SCREAMING or vulgarity…Given the level of support for Talic expressed here, it would appear that most disagree with your opinion of their product line.
Gotta Remember…
Talic is a sponsor and prize donator, like one of the family here and with many satisfied owners. Problem reporting or criticism is always welcome but a flaming rant could be met defensively.
Why don’t you post some pictures
of the racks so everyone can see what you mean by poor quality wood/construction.
