Didn’t know you made the mod on a fiberglass boat. Thanks for sharing that. Do you do G style layback rolls? If so, did the mod make it more difficult to lay back?

Layback Works Just Fine

What we did was measure the distance between the bolts that secure the seat. We cut that amount off the back of the seat. Then replaced the seat securing with the front seat bolts only in the rear deck bolt holes. The seat is held in with two bolts now instead of four. It's plenty secure.
Very, very comfortable getting in and out. Rolls nicely and may actually be better balanced for me with my heavy legs and shorter torso.
I'm sure I nulled and voided any warranty I had on the seat and anything the seat touches. Don't care at all. Completely pleased with the change.
