that useless little bungee "V" on the rear deck of an NDK Explorer

If you don’t like the bungee configuration on your kayak, change it.

About the only thing you can change the V to is a triangle. But I don’t really want to change it, I was just trying to understand what the Brits were thinking. Its all the day hatch’s fault.

Ha. Next thing to blame will be the extra shallow one up front on some boats.

Maybe the Danes are on to something. Not only is my front day hatch quite roomy (yet doesn’t interfere with my legs), but the rear day hatch is centered and flat, which makes it easier for me to open and close. A low and flat back deck with a simple yet very effective bungee setup. Best system of the boats I’ve owned so far.

Yes, we are.

…erh, wait. Which Danish kayak do you own? One of the new Current Designs models?

Prana LV. Jesper Kromann-Andersen gets the design credit. First boat I’ve owned that carries the designer’s autograph inside the cockpit.

Nice. I have one of his earlier designs, the Arrow Play.
