The Blizzard In New Orleans

There is a point when at first glance the decision is made it is not worth unraveling, if that is the case it becomes not meaningful and must be made more accessible. But I must say @canoeswithduckheads explanation was interesting in an exercise in self interpretation but there is no way that could have been derived from what was originally written by me or anyone else…Though I knew all along.

Edit: But, that is his style and I must respect that but make a decision whether or not to participate.

I knew that too.

Let me put it this way as a metaphor:

When you are building a house, you do not write lyrics, you put the sucker up.

I’d seen the movie, and you might say I Pickett up the gist of the grist mill too. I enjoy the puzzle and the history as well as singing off key to both “The Battle of New Orleans” and Frances Scott Key.

Thanks for the explanation. I particularly appreciate your explanation of the second because it shows my poor prose (definitely not a poet) carried the meaning I was trying to convey.

You have the advantage of knowing the man better than me.

I knew the references, but I still struggled with the meaning.

I thought he pissed you off.

No, I was confused, not angry.

I thought you were pissed off ready for a fight. Read your initial answering post.

I am seeing remnants of snow, still cheering me up.n

Yea, I didn’t mean it that way, but I get how it could be read that way. I went back and edited it.

I do too as I think being open to interpretation is meant to be part of it. In his reply he acknowledged his tendency to do so.

The line from the movie Patten paints a picture in my mind’s eye of the aftermath of war between great men. Going on throughout recorded history and beyond. The heroes of Troy come to mind. If you know the history, just the name Pickett…paints a picture. Words and images combined.

Anyway, that’s what I get when I read CWDH’s writings. They also make me smile.

Spring can’t come soon enough.

Well you see what I mean. I mean you said, “What did you say to me?” That has ominous inferences and if that auestion mark would have been replaced by an exclamation point it would definitely have ominous references. I thought @davbart was going to start throwing hands.

Sorry, I am enjoying my snow, I wish I would have stayed out in it longer during and right after the blizzard and that is what it was a blizzard in New Orleans.

Edit: I am going to go out and take a walk in it in a little bit.

I think by now it should be aparent that cetain member aren’t prone to be contrary or malicious. Now with me, some people aren’t ever sure, but for sure I don’t aim to hurt nobody, and CWDH sure don’t.

You’d probably figure that out pretty quick.

I still got winter things to do. Hey @string, I got an app that tracks the wobble area.

Blue line is between shots, white is trigger take up, x marks the break.

Yea, saying that out loud really does sound confrontational, but I didn’t mean it that way. I guess I need to be more careful.

I usually don’t get too upset with stuff on forums like this, and while I won’t back off something I think is correct, I try to avoid nastiness in my disagreement.
