I am down 20lbs since I started my diet/new way of life in July. I am hoping that, just like you, the paddling gives me a good reason to continue.

About weight control
When I retired, I decided that it would be good to change my eating habits for a number of reasons. First I knocked it down to two meals a day and no snacks in between. I drastically increased my fiber intake and deserts became rare. Besides lots of paddling, I also ride bikes. Although this regimen does control my weight, it’s more what I eat and how much that I eat that controls my weight. All the exercise activities just builds the appetite.



I’m 6’-2" and weigh 177; doctor says don’t lose any weight, but I like it better at 174. In my younger days I was up to 238.
