A friend just bought a used tandem SOT that has windscreens in front of each seat. Don’t know the name but it has a sleek hull and was made in Europe. And it’s fast!

That’s very intriguing, I’d love to know the model. Has anyone tried adding a deck onto a SOT? Just curiousity.

I just came across this thread today.
It is a Paddleyak made in South Africa for adventure racing. It is a 19’ tandem with plenty of space for packing gear, and is fast. It is fiberglass and weights 74 pounds. I will be camping at the coast with it very soon. Have paddled it by myself as well and can still make it move right along. I found a used one here in the state and bought it so I could take my wife places she couldn’t paddle on her own.

Dual rolling would be a real trick . How come she has a skirt and you don’t?

That,s the tail of her shirt not a skirt, but the cockpit does allow for a large skirt.
