Thule vs. Yakima

They both suck compared to Saris
Saris roof racks are outstanding. Their bars are stronger than Yakima or Thule and they go on and off the vehicle quickly, so you needn’t leave the rack on when you don’t need it (gotta’ think about gas mileage these days). They have a full range of attachments and their T-slot mounting system makes it simple to make custom attachments for just about anything.

go SARIS!
Bomproof, well designed, EASY set-up and on/off, integrated locking (rack AND attachments)

Have had a set on my car for 5 years. It’s hauled a BUNCH of stuff - building materials, boats, bikes, furniture…

Wanted to go Saris on my truck, but found they don’t have bolt-thru attachments for the cap. :^(

I’ve never seen any sagging Thule…
rectangular bars that were used within their weight limits. As far as the rust goes, the racks come on and off so easily, I don’t keep them on the truck when they’re not needed. I treat the bars and plastic parts with 303. They always look like new, even though I bought most of the parts used.
