Transition to kayak or stick with canoe?

thigh straps and pedestal!?
egads Suntan, watch what you say. fast canoeists use bent shaft paddles exclusively and paddle specialized kayak like canoes. we’ll have none of this kneeling with straps stuff, on this board, you hear young man, that’s for those dopey Canadians who haven’t learned how to paddle a canoe the right way yet…

watch out down there
that is close to not counting as free speach anymore…

I paddle a Wenonah Voyager and
get faster every time I go out. In experienced hands, it can match speed with any kayak. It has some drawbacks, like being affected by wind, comfort, being able to carry a cooler, comfort, being a little hard to turn, comfort.

depends
A lot of facters will make the difrence. i paddl both solo canoes, and kayaks. in a mohawk solo14 or wildefire aka yellowstone solo i make do. with a single blade i do decent.(i keep up better using a double) but people like Bob, and others like him make me look bad no matter what i paddle or with(single or double).

Excuse me?
Care to put that statement of yours to a test someday?
