Millbrook Coho would work.
If you are within driving distance, Spiritboat (and I think you are), you can get a real nice light tandem for about 1600 from Kaz.
If the water isn’t too big or technical, the Coho would be great. Otherwise, you might rather have the Ac/DC. I know from experience that the Coho would work well with such a load and paddled from the middle (if you have long enough reach or are comfortable with “Canadian”) - but I only wish I knew how the AC/DC handles that load. I expect it would be a little more lively and turn easier, but still be fine with the dogs - but I’m just guessing by what I’ve read and the specs.
Don’t know what his wait time is like right now though.
