used penobscot

You’re right, Steve. Royalex is worth
the extra money.

Hey, if you are happy, then I am too
life is too short to squabble.

I have a Royalex Penobscot…
and it is a great boat, and has been on every kind of water from ocean to Class 2 rivers solo and tandem. I’ve had it for 10 years, and is showing wear but still paddles great.

way ahead
I think I would be way ahead of you on just about any condition, which is exactly the point. The penob handles a variety of conditions very well and no one, certainly, is trying to compare it to a rodeo boat.

yeah I added that because the OP …
… hadn’t made mention he was aware , so just to be safe …

the only way I would consider a Penobscot is if it was an Rx model … I think it’s a versatile and more refined boat , so Rx seems the only way to go with it to me , and agree it’s worth some extra cost over a Poly one for lots of reasons .

I don’t paddle any rodeo boat.
My Synergy is 15’ long, fast for a true whitewater boat, and if you aren’t careful, you may find that you spend so much time bailing that I AM ahead of you.

Almost any canoe can be used to run the Nantahala, but only a true whitewater boat can squeeze all the fun out of it.
