While this is an old thread, I thought better to renew it than to start over again.
Same topic, but my question is this:
Is an ICOM M-34 an acceptable unit? I will rarely if ever need VHF, but want one for a coastal trip I am planing, for emergencies and weather reports. As such, I don’t want to invest a whole lot, but would like to get something reasonably well-made. Any other suggestions are welcome too.
