Well done!
I do have to wonder about the waterproof
aspect. I’ve been tempted to get into one of these, or some similar model to carry in my PFD instead of worrying about a dry box. The thing is, a dry box is only a pain when I’m doing WW in a raft or kayak, and swimming WW is hardly the same as 3’ deep in a calm pool. I wonder if a rough swim in a crashing hole while carrying one of these in a PFD pocket is a good idea. I can see water forces in those situations exceeding the manufacturer’s claims & testing.
And to rWVen’s points above, I’m not looking for perfection, just curious if this truly eliminates the need for a dry box for protection.

I think if you
stuff the phone in a pocket the forces of water will not be too much compared to not being in a pocket (I’m thinking not an outside mesh pocket, but something more sturdy on the PFD or in your dry-top/suit that is covered/protected from direct water flow even if it does let water in).
That said, I think having the phone in a waterproof zip-lock kind of bag (a thicker one) would be a good idea if more than the occasional dip is expected - can operate through it, I guess (or maybe not - have not tried with tese capacitive screens with a wet piece of plastic on top of them…)

I’ve been using this for a year with my non waterproof smartphone and it lives in my pfd. ROlls, swims, rescues.
