Marine wax ,which I use, can contain UV inhibitors.
Anything I can find says waxes do not protect clear coat from UV radiation.
They last about 6 weeks max.
I use wax hybrid ceramic. So easy to apply be and remove. Lasts longer on my powerboat deck or at least as long and is probably 15% of the effort. You can put it on any material on a car .
Easy to use on a kayak and fast. Spray and wipe it’s fast and apply to a wet rinsed hull. No white on black deck lines it’s great.
I use carnuba on the car, but hate dealing with the discoloration of vinyl and plastic. Haven’t taken the time to look for a better product.
Yep, the wax is there as a sacrificial barrier to keep the clear coat from being abraded (at least in automatic applications) . I also use the hybrid ceramic turtle for my pickup and bikes. Lasts pretty long and works well for what I want it to do.
Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic zero worries.
I’ll give it a shot.
