Wearing a PFD at all times or maybe not?

You are assuming a great risk, it is unavoidable, but it is a great risk. You could not insist on a crate to minimize the risk?

Hopefully, wrapped with layers of bubble wrap and white foam. My Sterling kayak and all my (6) waveskis arrived cross country intact that way.

Fingers crossed for your boats.

Even that when done right, does not protect from hard impacts, forklifts, dropped…

They said they were going to crate it at the warehouse and they used a small truck to haul all our things from the village. Narrow cobblestone roads etc

In other news, I am getting pings from my car and I think it must be near Baltimore.

Well did they crate it or not?

I have no idea, I don’t micromanage people and it is insured by Uncle Sam. If they ruin it, I’ll get a check and go buy an Illusion here in Washington.
I can’t fret about material things  I’d be overwhelmed.

I control what I can and let the rest go. Right now I have my driveway and my staircase ripped out and Moldovan contractors all over the house
Our plane wasn’t hit by a missile and the dog made it so time to take a breath.

I understand all of this, but what was your crap detector telling you, were these people basically trustworthy. A very simple word, worthy of your trust.

These were not the people who brow beat your dog huh? Poor animal.

No, they were Serbians that said America is right under God because “we” saved their bacon when they were kids. They showed us their war tattoos and took my Gucci boat
I might never see it again but I have faith :pray:t3:

You always land on your feet, I think this has been demonstrated, no need to think otherwise here.

I am going to have to make you an honorary Cajun, you have “la joie de vivre.” You have to learn the Two Step though. You can not be an honorary Cajun if you don’t know the Two Step. Video or it didn’t happen.

Why were you so anxious to get back to the United Staes, those pictures you sent from Europe were absolutely beautiful, stunning.

This is an hour and a half and we can live in our own house

Check out Lost Lake “America’s Alps”

I watched it all morning!

This part looks like the Alpine lakes in Austria

I’ve been to Europe, Korea, China, and Mexico . The longest I’ve stayed in one place was 13 months.
I always felt relieved when the plane crossed the US border.
Welcome Home!

I enjoyed my tour in Germany during 1973, but I couldn’t wait to get home.

We are amazed at how you can buy anything 24-7 here because we haven’t been around the consumerism for so long. Costco feels like Disneyland! We can buy groceries on Sunday! I’ve only been back to USA once in almost five years.
It feels wild and crazy :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Okay, since you seem committed, have no buyer’s remorse and are confident ya’ ll made the right decision for now and in the future, the least I can due is offer ya’ll a house warming gift. Since I am not there and wouldn’t know where to send it, I will show it to you so you can make your own. It will give you peace of mind and might even save your life.

Cest Tout…

That is amazing. I thought for sure you and your husband would land in the United States, look around and say, “ What have we done?”

That looks like a good idea.
