I’ve been storing two plastic kayaks, an OT Cayuga and a WS Zephyr (about 55 lbs. each) on a concrete garage floor on their sides (as the last drawing shows) with an old foam backpack pad under each for over 10 years when they’re not on the water, winter and summer. Never a dent or change in shape. No problems ever. They both paddle and turn like new. The wooden Pygmy gets the nice wall rack just because it’s such a pretty kayak.
