'05 ford escape rack solution

Can anyone out there confirm that yakima’s control tower rack system can fit onto the rails of an '05 ford escape?

Yes and no.
Lowriders fit the No Boundaries package, reaching over the big pipe rails and then pulling back in. Trackriders or Control Towers fit the XLT package by clamping the tracks between themselves and gliding nuts that ride inside the tracks.
