65° and sunny this afternoon.

Our normal winter has returned. Sort of. Normal is more like 50 and rainy.
I feel for you frozen folks.

Not frozen here. Sunny and 34F! Hoping the car wash has thawed out so I can get the salt and grime cleaned up before the next storm hits.

69 days and 20 hours till spring.

Eastern NC, we went from -4F(Sunday) to mid 60s(today) in 2 days. We stayed below 26, for 10 days. Our local launch spots, froze over for the first time, on record. Bodies of water freezing up, maybe common up north. But it is anomaly in eastern NC. It typically does not get that cold here. On a typical year, we may hit the low 20s; for a few days, all winter.

We had two kids rescued from a pond. They had been playing on it then tried sledding.
They are fine.

You know that it doesn’t routinely freeze up if the docks are still in the water.
