Sleepy Hollow State Park north on Lansing Michigan is a popular destination for paddling and hiking. Our meetup group has done a number of paddles, hikes, and skiing days there. The lake there, Lake Ovid, was created by damming the Little Maple River. Today we chose to try something new and explore south of Price Road. The bridge at Price Road is much too low to paddle under so we did a short portage over the road and started working our way up, trying to not bother the geese too much. We were able to paddle under the hiking trail bridge and up to the next road. On the way back two of us took a side trip to investigate another flooding.
