Join Maine Kayak for an ACA Kayak Instructor Certification Workshop this fall. Taught by American Canoe Association ITE Nate Ostis, this course is great for whitewater kayaking enthusiasts to not only gain instructor certification, but to also improve their whitewater kayaking skills.
Maine Kayak, located on the West Branch of the Penobscot River, will be hosting an American Canoe Association IDW/ICE Kayak Instructor Certification Course from Tuesday, September 23 - Saturday, September 27. The course will focus on paddling and teaching techniques on flatwater through Class III+/IV whitewater and will take place in the classroom and on the lake and river. Students will spend classroom time in lecture, break-out sessions, and analyzing video and spend on-water time practicing skills in a supportive group environment. Participants will be certified at the flatwater, moving water, or whitewater level upon completion of the course. The ACA IDW/ICE course is the nationally recognized certification course for whitewater kayak instruction.

Price: $450. Price includes transportation and equipment and gear, if necessary. Price does not include lodging or meals. Lodging or camping can be arranged for an additional fee. ACA registration dues are separate from this price.
