Adventure Race

Any suggestions on a fast, good handling kayak for Adventure race, triathlon, overall racing?

Thanks

need to know a lot more about your paddling experience, comfort in tippy boats etc. also depends whether the races are pure flatwater or involved water with any waves and/or moving water.

as a starter, a number of the adventure racers I know use entry level K1 type boats, akin to the Simon River Laser or Kayakpro Jet. If you can paddle it, the West Side Boat Shop Thunderbolt (which I have) will smoke either of those boats, and will handle much more in terms of waves, etc. An entry level surfski, like a Mako XT is also a very nice option. There are also New Zealand-style multisport boats, which are a bit hard to come by here and rather spendy.

More info would help.
