After reading the other topic on aluminum gunwales, I was wondering is it possible to cut the height of the bow and stern down 2 to 2.5 inches while leaving the center height the same? Can you bend the old aluminum rails to fit the new shape of the hull or is it just too difficult to do? I was considering doing this on a Wenonah Prism that is made of tuffweave.
