Another GPS Question Please

Okay,

I have been trying to research some of the GPS options out there and wanted some input from everyone. Here is what I am looking for if it is out there.


  1. A GPS that also offers a locater such as SPOT.
  2. Something that does not break the bank if possible.



    Does anyone know if such a thing exist? Any advice or suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks everyone.

GPS enabled cell phone?
Not aware of any GPS units that have Spot capability.

You can get a DSC-enabled VHF handheld:

I don't know of any direct competitors for the SPOT.
