Anyone paddled an Old Town Next?

Sounds like the next thing OT needs
to do is get control of their production process.

or the Next shall be the
last…

Or the never.

yeah, but what would they call it then?

Obvious progression
Next, Next II, Next II Last, Last, Previous

Alan

Recycle bin… NM.

28,8 kg or 61.729444 Lbs
Did they weigh sans bubble wrap and cardboard? Germans!!..so imprecise and poor record keepers.

Pictures show flat-bottomed with a keel.
How advanced.

64 lbs.!?!?!
That’s 30% over the weight they were hawking in the initial promos. I call that a major fail. Maybe their new marketing outfit used to work for Microsoft – tout the features before the beta code is even written.

I didn’t see flat bottom.

then
antepenultimate, penultimate, ultimate, postultimate, expostultimate…

Anyone paddled an Old Town Next?
Nobody?

Both the direct view of the bottom
and the indirect evidence of straight shadows of thwart and seat indicate it is flat bottomed. Or, what would you call flat? It doesn’t even approach my shallow arch canoes in non-flatness. It’s flat. It’s a dead parrot.

Have you watched the videos?
That might leave you with a different impression.

some of those will have to be tandems

Why would the photos not be conclusive?
Oh, maybe with some paddler’s fat ass on the bottom, it would arch a bit. But sitting still for the camera, it’s flat bottomed.

I guess we have different vision.
That’s okay.

Just saw a Barney purple one

Sitting on stands at a local sporting goods store. Adjustable sliding seat, foot pegs, and even a purple Carlisle kayak paddle imprinted with the words "Next."

I know zip about canoes, but thought it was pretty cute.

I did lift it off the stands. Didn't try walking it around as it's a display and was filled with ersatz Christmas gifts, but it wasn't at all heavy. Price tag was $1,099.

Barney purple…
64 pounds, flat bottom, filled with xmas presents…

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

BOB

64 lbs? It keeps getting heavier.
Must’ve been Thanksgiving dinner.
