Are member to member messages visible to anyone?

On this forum, you can send a message to another member. I was surprised though, that I can read other people’s messages with or without being logged in.

Sometimes I want to take a discussion off-line and contact someone directly, without the whole world being able to read it as well. Bug or feature?

It took me a while to figure this one out at the start too. It isn’t very intuitive.

Use the “Message” button as shown below, not the big edit box that’s in your face when you go to a user’s profile. See below.
