Usually a warm summer weekend will find me on one of several dam-release rivers around New England with my whitewater canoe. This summer I have been trying to get out more in my sea kayak, so this weekend I decided to stay close to home and do a coastal touring trip along the northwest corner of Portsmouth, RI on Mount Hope Bay. Nothing tough about this trip - light winds with waves less that an foot, but a beautiful area with enough going on to keep me occupied. My canoes are starting to feel abandoned…
