Last weekend our sailing club hosted a Flying Scot Regatta with crews from 5 states. I crewed on Bill’s sailboat. We didn’t place nor did we finish last. I feel we did well for our experience level. Two days of multiple races wore me out.
Monday Carol and I packed and headed to Atlantic Beach to stay with in-laws at my sister’s condo overlooking the ocean. We had overcast skies, rain, and sunshine. We also had rough surf, gentle swells, hot and steamy, and cool weather on the 5 days we spent there. I regretted not having my sea kayak with me. Next time for sure. The shelling was decent, though not exceptional, and body surfing variable ranging from fun, rough, and too gentle.
