Here are 2 examples of Blackhawk canoes serial numbers.
One serial number is on a Blackhawk Zephyr(bottom photo); the other is on a Blackhawk SS Special. The SS Speical is a seldom seen model of Blackhawk; I’ve never seen another one besides mine? Prior to my ownership, it was the property of a Blackhawk employee. He told me that he took the boat in lieu of salary he was owed when Blackhawk Canoes folded. Can’t verify that, but it’s a good story anyway…
Both serial number are located on the right rear of the stern of both boats. They are etched on the boat, approximately 2 1/2 inches beneath the gunwales.
