Bar Harbor vacation

July 06,Bar Harbor, Porcipine Islands, the home of bald eagles, seals and dolphins…watch out for surface boulders expecially if your paddling hard and have a rudder. Early mornings were low tide so you have to enter by the town beach. Entry is better than the cement ramp -you don’t have to deal with the upsurges or damaging tidal starfish. A beautiful trip, superclean water-150ft.deep.

Glad you had a good time.
Another good place to launch from is the gravel bar at the end of Bridge Street. Parking is allowed all day on West Street near the intersection with Bridge St. Next time you’re up here, let me know, maybe we can go paddling together around the Porcupines.
