yep its a pain to haul a yak over
that trail. I saw several people in fishing kayaks that simply could not make it. The trail is not particulary cartable… I felt bad for those people as they never got to the canyon.
Yeah it
was a very clear and nice trail in respects to tree’s etc,however very rocky and you had to watch your step.
I own one of those wheelez karts and I agree there is no way it would work.
Portage was a pain but the view inside that canyon was well worth the view.
One thing I will say is that its a poor place to camp along those sites.Instead of paying go the 4-6 km downstream to first chute and camp for free.the portage along first chute is really good.mostly grass.
