Problems with gel
I have the Yakpads Gel Seat and love it but, it is too squishy for rough water. You can feel the gel squish out from side to side when the boat rocks. This makes it feel like I am not as connected to the boat as I would like. I love it for calm water but for rough water I prefer the direct feel of a hard seat pan.

Butt I also like Brooks saddles on my bikes. The cool thing with these is you can add some more cushion on top.
