Best kayaking video/dvd - Suggestions?

If you had to choose one video or DVD on sea kayaking techniques, which one would it be? I’ve read a few books on the subject, but I think I’d get a lot more out an instructional DVD.

It depends
If you want all strokes and techniques, then you can’t go too wrong with Nigel Foster’s series, but it doesn’t all come in one DVD (pretty slow going though, I ended up watching them at 2x speed).

If you’re looking to improve your forward stroke, then Brent Reitz Forward Stroke video is very effective.

Derek Hutchinson has a good one (I only saw it once and don’t remember much of it) called Beyond the Cockpit. He includes some fun parlor tricks.

Check out Practical Kayaking for the…
best all-around open water kayaking video and actually Ken Whiting has one called Sea Kayaking The Ultimate Guide that is really great too.

Check with Nigel
I’ve seen a couple of the Nigel Foster series, and they are great.

I have all six and watched them twice already. Loads of info. Available on eBay for $100 including shipping on VHS. Tres cool.

Here it is for about $167 incl shipping on DVD. You can learn so much from these six DVDs, it'll blow your mind. Check it out, Kimosabe, and enjoy the water.

Ken Whiting’s Ultimate Guide
Comprehensive and nicely done.
