I just posted to sell a used Solstice GTS, and immediately got a message from a “buyer” who said he wanted to buy my boat, but would need to pay by echeck. Classic scam—as savvy sellers/buyers know.
I replied that I would only take cash, and I could get that when he picked up the boat. More aggressive trying to get my details so he could send the echeck to my bank.
Just beware—these transactions never work out; the check bounces, they try and scam more money, etc. Just a waste of time.
