Looking to paddle Big Raccoon from Mansfield to Bridgeton. Was looking for a trip time estimate and any advice. I live in the area but never yakked this part.
I have never run it, but I suspect it would only take about a half day. I would be interested in a trip report if you do make it, so I’ll know for future reference. If you don’t mind, shoot me a PM after with your thoughts on it.
oh what a trip. I was told about 3 hours. Yeah right. Maybe if the lake was letting out and there were no trees. We were on the water about 6 hours and only made it to the iron bridge just before bridgeton and got out way past dark. Great fishing and beautiful creek just a little too low and way too many trees. I will definitely do again but start way earlier in the day. I did post a trip report (my first) so there is more info there. Feel free to hit me up with any questions.
